Can You Change Your Twitter Handle?
Yes, of course. You can easily change your Twitter handle without any problems. Even you can change it as many times as you want.
Changing your handle won’t affect your existing followers, Direct Messages, or replies. Your followers will simply see a new handle next to your profile photo when you update. I suggest you alert your followers before you change your handle so they can direct replies or Direct Messages to your new handle.back to menu ↑

You can change your Twitter handle on your Android phone or iPhone by following these steps. Here I have shown this process using the Twitter app, but you can also follow these steps if you want to do it using any browser. Before you proceed with these steps, make sure you have logged in with your Twitter account. Then follow the steps below.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to change twitter handle on app:
- Open the Twitter app on your phone (Android or iPhone) or go to Twitter.com using any browser.
- Tap the Three horizontal lines or Profile icon at the top left corner.
- Tap Settings and privacy.
- Go to Account » Username.
- Under New, type your New Twitter handle instead of the current one. Then tap Done. That’s it! You’ve successfully changed your Twitter handle.
Your Twitter handle must be more than 4 characters long and can be up to 15 characters or less. It can contain only letters, numbers, and underscores. And also it must be unique. If the handle is already taken, you’ll be prompted to choose another one.
[Important: Once you change your Twitter handle, your previous handle will immediately be available for use by someone else. And also if you’re verified on Twitter, changing your handle will cause you to lose verification.]
